Is there one set of irons that has everything you need or want?

Callaway APEX irons are AMAZING.  I've played other irons by other brands for a long time and can honestly say these irons have a feel that is superb, sweet design, solid in the right ways and forgiving in the best sense.  Let's get into them more in depth.

True Golf tale

I was in Houston visiting and had a chance to reconnect with an old friend and golf buddy from high school days.  He wanted to hit the links but I didn't have my clubs...so we decided to play out of his bag and enjoy a leisurely round of catching up.

He had the Callaway Apex irons. I couldn't believe how well I hit them and the solid feel and accuracy. What was amazing is I'm 6'6" and have custom everything but his clubs were stock. Without much swing adjustment I hit his irons like they were made for me, that's how forgiving and easy these Callaway APEX irons are to swing, control, and spin the ball.  I can't say enough good things about them.

The Apex and Apex Pro models are focused players irons while the Apex DCB model adds game improvement design to the APEX technology for a winning addition to the model line.

What are people saying about Callaway Epic drivers?

I played my first round with this driver and this is my honest review. I want to start by saying that I swing very aggressive and quick. I play an X-Stiff HZRDUS PVD Smoke green Hulk shaft.
The first 2 holes, faded a little right which is my normal for me and what I have always struggled with. The distance wasn't longer or shorter. Standard for a fade.
After that, it was pretty much dialed in and I knew where it would go. So i was actually playing a baby draw. Never have i felt confident with aiming slightly right knowing the ball would either go straight or draw back in. Didn't worry about a Fade or a slice.
Standing over this driver gave me confidence that I have never had with my other Driver (usually play Taylormade).
Once i was dialed in, the distance was pretty good and drives were flying off the club face.
Like i said, i always battled a fade/slice but this club will help a lot.

I have struggled with a slice do to my aggressive swing for years. I just bought the Epic Max ls a couple weeks ago and took it out on the course for the first time. It was amazing. Beautiful baby draws all day, as I had it set for this. Many more fairways found than my previous previous driver. With my setup heel strikes only moves about 2 yards right and were still long.

With just one round, I've already noticed distance and accuracy gains with a solid feel and great looks ! Well done

Took Epic Speed out on a blustery day and performance was to die for.....straight distance with a wonderful trajectory that's lower spin than my gbb epic 2017 head. Didn't think I'd like the non-adjustable head as much but this club is point n shoot with impeccable feel n feedback.

Callaway EPIC MAX LS

A perfect combination for me is a driver that tends toward a fade and lower ball flight but one I don't sacrifice clubhead speed or forgiveness on slightly off center shots.  The MAX LS is my choice and ticks all the right boxes.

Summary:

The Callaway EPIC series drivers are some of the most forgiving and longest hitting drivers around.  You can choose from the MAX LS for lower handicap golfers who need a lower ball flight and more fade bias and adjustment to the Epic SPEED for mid to high handicappers.

my lifelong love affair with golf

I've been hooked since I was five years old.  From the first swing I knew golf would always be a part of my life.  Passion, focus, and dedication to the game took me across the country for tournaments.  I discovered a lot about myself while walking the fairways. Although the biggest hurdles to a better swing are often physical, better scores usually mental, the easiest gains come from improvements in clubs and gear.  I hope my insights help you find the quickest way to lower your score and enjoy your next round; the best new clubs, tools, and tips just for you.
